Dedication of the Chancel Stained-Glass Windows Easter Sunday, March 31, 2002, Abiding Presence Lutheran Church celebrated the installation of the stained glass windows. Mounted in the sanctuary, behind the pulpit, the windows represent the four seasons of the year.
The four sets of windows are identical in height and width. The trim is brown wood. The colors seen in the window panes depend upon the amount of sunlight available, the time of day, and the season. Because of these variables, it is simply impossible to accurately present the window colors.
Sometimes, when my mind wanders during the sermon (forgive me pastor), I am struck by the beauty of the windows. Some panes are alive with vibrant color, while other panes that do not receive direct sunlight can be quite muted. The appearance of the windows changes week by week.
