Everybody’s Looking for Something
The Eurythmics

I Found Nemo

My daughter sent a photo of her scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. She captioned it "I Found Nemo", and said that it is one of "the coolest things she's ever done." Whether she was looking for Nemo, or Dory, or any of the myriad fish and coral formations remains unknown. Yet, she found something which gave her amazement and joy at the discovery of an undersea world which exists parallel to ours, populated by beautiful and unique creatures. A gift of delightful surprise, this universe came to her attention.

Going through life on autopilot, fretting over obligations and deadlines, beauty and wonder slip by unnoticed. The constant worrying about the minutiae of daily existence negate the exquisiteness of creation. A mind needs to be opened to the loveliness of the world, freely given to us by the Creator. Accepting pleasure and grace bestowed upon us; it can be discovered.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."
Matthew 7:7New International Version (NIV)
